The tasks to this activity are limited to the agreed Scope Of The engagement as agreed in the Scope Of BA Engagement.
The tasks in this activity are usually performed in the order suggested by the numbers. However, if a task uncovers an
element not discovered previously this will make it necessary to perform the previous task(s) again. This activity is
therefore mostly performed iteratively.
NOTE 1: The Business Context mentioned in the Focus And Direction phase (Task: 1.1.2 - Understand Clients Context) is concerned with the engagement. The Context in this activity is related tot the
primary processes or process domains of the business.
NOTE 2: Part of the Business Context are parties that enforce compliancy or provide legal restrictions, like the local
government. These are not always evident as actor in the models, but should be captured as stakeholders and business
requirements. The restrictions, constraints and other impacts on the solutions should be described as supplementary
Business Requirements. If these business requirements are not yet described for As-Is or by other projects/products,
they must be elicited during the process.
